Drum Lessons
QMA’s drum students — as with all our students — love music. Whether it be rock, metal, jazz, funk, blues, or any number of different styles, they are dedicated to learning the rhythmic language of drumming.
Our drum professors can challenge any drum student with a wide variety of fun technical exercises. Exercises designed to improve any student’s drumming skills. Always aiming to have happy learners, the student decides which drum part they wish to master first. Your learning theory is also guaranteed by the use of QMA’s proven Drum method book and testing program.
Our programs are for all abilities, whether you are a beginner, advanced, or somewhere in between. QMA’s tailored drumming program is also available for those wanting to start from as young as 5 years old.
What you will learn
QMA drum students learn the correct techniques, theory and reading skills needed to be able to master the music they want, need, have to play. Our drum students discover how to enjoy mastering songs on their own. This in turn really helps them enjoy their practice sessions, which is essential for studying. Why? Because happy students means motivated students, which always equals success.
Who Is the ideal Student
Anyone who has a desire to pick up their sticks and is ready to commit to drumming, and anyone who loves the drums!
5 years old is a good age to start, but we teach students of all ages and abilities. Our students love to practice and really enjoy getting to jam on the drums. Free to play along to your favorite music you can now apply the techniques and theories being studied in class!
Our Drum Lesson Programs
QMA’s Drum Lessons program ensures that you will master all of the techniques, theory and fundamentals you will need to enjoy playing the drums. All students use a proven method book that helps guide students to success. Fun quizzes are also used to reinforce progress, making sure that a student’s learning is both on track and enjoyable.
Our programs are for everyone from the age of 8 and up, be you a beginner, advanced, or somewhere in between.
Our Philosophy
We know through extensive experience that playing music with other people –either in recitals or with bands– gives students the highest levels of enjoyment. It also gives a real sense of accomplishment. This is essential for self-motivation when learning how to play. In addition to focusing on the individual instrument of your choice we also focus on performances.
How we are different
Our drum professors are actual employees and not privately contracted. This ensures everyone is dedicated to your learning.
Required to have tailored lesson plans for each of their students, our professors are also able to follow up on students’ lessons using our practice booklet. This allows students to log their practice minutes each week, which allows us to be certain everything is moving forward.
Who are the Drum Professors
QMA teachers have all been through an extensive certification program and have either been awarded degrees from prestigious institutions or have extensive experience in the music industry.
What you should do next
We look forward to arranging a session for you with the perfect teacher, be it for you, your child, or — if you want to surprise someone with the perfect gift — a friend. We are here to help you get started on Drum Lessons at QMA.
