Bass Lessons
Whatever music gets you shaking, rattling and rolling, be it the blues, rock, metal or country, you can rest easy knowing that Queens Music Academy teaches both the electric and acoustic bass guitar to everyone, whether you are a beginner, advanced, or somewhere in between. So get to it and become a star bass player as we expertly guide you through everything from learning your favorite songs to advanced theory. Our fun but challenging lessons are taught via bass lessons method book; lessons are then given in-depth reinforcement through our comprehensive progress checks. QMA students LOVE to practice and show up to their lessons with a smile on their face, ready to enjoy playing music!
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Bass students learn all the chords, theory and techniques needed to be able to master the songs and music they want, need, and have to play on the bass. We help you achieve your goals both as a bass player and musician. Whether that means playing in a band or just sitting on the couch enjoying the songs you love.
WHO IS THE IDEAL STUDENT
QMA staff is great at teaching everyone from complete beginners all the way up to advanced level adults who truly want to pursue music as a career and everything in between. Students can begin lessons as young as 8.
OUR Bass GUITAR LESSON PROGRAMS
At QMA, bass learning is broken down into four main pillars (Theory, Scale, Song and Improvisation) that are easy to understand, fun and rewarding. This approach is accessible for students of all ages and ability levels, so there’s no need to worry about not being able to accomplish your goals. Students use a proven curriculum to learn technique and theory; they also use songs that they know and love so that they can actively apply what they have studied.
QMA’S PHILOSOPHY
We know through extensive experience that playing music with other people — either in recitals or with bands — gives students the highest levels of enjoyment and a sense of accomplishment that is so important for self-motivation when learning how to play. In addition to focusing on the individual instrument of your choice, we also focus on performances.
WHO ARE THE bass teachers
The teachers at QMA have all been through an extensive certification program and have either been awarded degrees from prestigious institutions or have extensive experience in the music industry.
HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT
In the past, bass lessons — both at studios or with independent teachers — have mostly been lacking in an approach that offered any real structure or plan for those who wish to start, develop or perfect their bass playing. QMA has changed that.
Required to have tailored lesson plans for each of their students, our professors are also able to follow up on students’ lessons using our practice booklet. This allows students to log their practice minutes each week, which allows us to be certain everything is moving forward.
